Ironhide Construction assisted BNSF Railway with structural restoration of its fabrication shop. We removed the existing exterior wall panels, demolished the 80’x15′ sliding crane door, as well as all of the structural steel and footings. Once demo was completed we installed the new footing system along with the entirely new structural steel system that would support the new end wall. We installed a new 80’x14′ hydraulic crane door with two 16’x12′ sliding lower doors. The entire end wall was covered with insulated metal wall panels to create a much more energy efficient as well as safe working door to allow the railroad to move materials in and out of the building.
This highly complex project for BNSF Railway required use of every aspect of our construction services at Ironhide Construction.
