Project Summary

Client Name: PCE Geist
Date Completed: April 2015
Location: Lincoln, Nebraska
General Contractor: Hausmann Construction
Architect: Clark Enersen Partners
Size: 65,460 SF

Ironhide Construction was part of the construction project to expand the Geist corporate headquarters, which is the largest division of PCE, Inc.

Ironhide Construction provided and installed a CHIEF Buildings® pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) for the 65,460 ft2 warehouse portion of the facilities. Ironhide installed a 24″ standing seam roof panel, standard wall panels, simple saver insulation in the roof and walls, and liner panel throughout the interior. The warehouse featured a large open area that can be used for storage, maintenance and shipping/receiving to meet immediate needs, and also house manufacturing operations.

The warehouse’s large complex roof drained to one end of the building. An additional level of complexity was that the roof met a conventional structural steel building.

Throughout construction, the project schedule was constantly challenged by large amounts of rain and terrible site conditions. Ironhide Construction changed the type of equipment used in order to overcome issues on site with the mud.
