Nebraska Public Power District

Ironhide Construction was awarded this project as the General Contractor for the Nebraska Public Power District, in York, NE. This is a 32,000-square-foot addition that utilizes 3 different types of construction, PEMB, structural precast concrete, and conventional structural steel. The PEMB will be used as a training facility for hands-on instruction for the installation of lines, poles, and substations. The precast concrete building will serve as a wash bay for large trucks, cranes, and aerials. The conventional structure houses the classroom, control room, and battery room. Altogether these provide for a first-class, complete, on-site training and maintenance facility.
